12 pin wiring for AES sense on caravan fridge

I tested pins 8 to 12 on the 12 pin socket and don't seem to have an ignition switched pin for the caravan AES fridge.

Can someone please advise if Ford have disabled anything from factory or where I can pick up an ignition source?

2016 PX2 XLT.

Thanks

Ford do not include wiring or an ignition source to pin 12. You'll have to find a suitable ignition source, then use that to activate a relay, with main fused power from your start battery. This can then also be used for other ignition sourced loads such as UHF radio etc. You will need to then run a feed back to the trailer socket.

The reason you should use a relay is to prevent overloading the canbus module. To find an ignition source you could refer to the Ford Body & Equipment Mounting Manual on-line, or simply find a suitable fuse to piggy-back from.

The only other option which I know works, is to pick up a permanent 12v feed and run it through a FridgeSwitch so that the 12v is switched off when the van is stationary and no motion is detected.

There is a 2 Pin plug on the left rear side chassis. Wire colors are Black/White - Brown/Red.

Mine has a tray fitted so its easy to find and was not used but I think it connects to a tub?

It is ignition On powered but if you use it be aware it is also accessories on powered.

I use it to run ign on to DC DC charger and Van fridge via solenoid and fuses separately to both with 5A fuses. I think? the main fuse for the circuit is 15A.

Can someone please advise where the fuse is for the constant 12v supply on pin #9? My manual only shows a fuse location for pin 12 (Trailer tow) which doesn't have a fuse in the socket?? No mention of pin #9..

Also, where has everyone been picking up an ignition source? I like the tub wiring idea Bala1 but I have extended the 12v socket time in Forscan so not ideal.

I ended up grabbing IGN signal from the power mirror harness to drive a relay. Seems to be working ok so far...
