OBD Link MX BT not waking up

Hi all. Having a bit of an issue.
When my OBD Link MX Bluetooth dongle is plugged into the second OBD port ( the hidden one you don't need to remove the fuse panel for ) if left overnight it does not power up when ign. is switched on. No lights at all.
If I unplug it and put it in the front OBD port it powers up., however it has lost its BT pairing so need to unpair it and pair it again.
Plug it back into second OBD port and it works fine for another day. It is a real PIA.
Any idea what is going on ?

Personally, I have not had an issue but I only used to use mine for the odd programming and never left in the OBD port. Hopefully someone else can chime in.

I think I'm having the same problem with my OBDLink LX - I don't have to unplug it though - just press the connect button and re-pair it.

The OBDLink is meant to go to sleep to preserve the battery - perhaps it is not waking up - coupled with the fact that I find Bluetooth can be a slightly flakey technology at the best of times.

I'll keep a better eye out to see if I can work out what is going on.

I have played around with a few setting in the OBDLink app and seems to be better now. I will post them soon.
If you have the OBDLink MX dongle the OBDLink app I think is essential to have even if you don't use it as your main PID monitoring app.

I agree Evernew. Personally, I do not do a trip without having the dongle in the glove box. It is as essential or even more so than carrying a screwdriver through the middle of nowhere. Being able to diagnose your vehicle could be the difference between a huge recover bill vs having a small part shipped to your location and continuing your trip.
