Ranger Mods

Hi all,
I am looking at purchasing an OBDLink adaptor to do some mods through forscan. Which adaptor is recommended for both programming and also gauges?
The laptop I currently have does not have Bluetooth capabilities.
If Bluetooth is the best way to go, is there a Bluetooth adaptor I can purchase for the laptop to allow the connection of the OBDLink?

Hi & welcome
If you use Windows 10 on your laptop then the dongle from this site is the way to go.

That will allow you to connect and make changes using Forscan.
For monitoring (gauges) you have choices.
If you have a phone or tablet with Bluetooth you can use an OBDLink MX if you use Android.
You can also use an OBDLink MX +, this will work with Android & IOS
Then there's the UltraGauge & Scangauge which are both wired and plug directly into the OBD port.
Which ever you chose to use for monitoring they can all plug into the second OBD port, if you have one.

I am only running Windows 7, is that still the best dongle to use?

Sorry Just chiming in I have similar requirement.
I already have ELM327 USB with switch and have made few mods.
I just wanted to confirm that the MX+ will work on both Android/IOS and PC If I just need for monitoring purpose?
And dO MX+ they clear codes too don’t they?

The OBDlink MX + will work with both, Android & IOS.
With a laptop running Windows 10 and a licensed version of Forscan installed you will be able to clear codes and make changes.
