Wiring Wildtrak Rollershutter to XLS Sport with no control module

Hi all!

I managed to swing a wildtrak sailplane and the electric roller shutter from a 2022 Ranger, which only had the shutter itself, no control module from under the passenger seat, nor did it have the wiring for the buttons in the tray or dashboard.

I'm not too fussed about being able to control it from inside the vehicle, I can't see me wanting to use that very often at all, so just need to be able to open and close from the back of the tray.

I've run a 12V test to the wiring harness, and it looks to me that the thick brown and the black wire on the left hand side of the plug are for the motor, so my thoughts are to just wire that in to accessory power and have either two momentary buttons in a box at the back of the tray for each direction (as just swapping the polarity controls motor open or close).

I can see though that the shutters have got sensors for load to auto stop etc. Does anyone have any info on these? Are they just trigger wiring when the load / hall effect sensors are tripped? I know I would need the control module to expand it using stock options (presumably at great cost through Ford), but if they are just sensors that I can read with a basic breadboard and an ATTINY or similar, it should be fairly simple to get that functionality back with a relay to trigger the motor to stop then back up slightly, and also stop on fully open or closed.

Also for power, the wiring plug is on the right hand side of the shutters, so I was thinking to just run the wires along the back of the tray and down to the central locking wiring near the fuel cap, would that be suitable to tap into?

I've got a little bit to budget for it, as the sailplane and shutters only set me back $500 from a nearby seller, and they are in absolutely immaculate condition!

old dig up but the brown and black on one end of the plug is the motor wire, + to one and - to the other will make it operate one way, reverse the polarity and it will operate the oposite direction.
