Remote tracking / kill switch

Hi peeps,
I’ve just got my ute back after having it stolen and damaged 6 months ago so I am going to put a tracker into it, the tracker includes a normally closed relay that allows you to interrupt a circuit. What I need to know is the consequences of disconnecting various wires before the ignition is on and / or whilst the vehicle is running / moving.
I’m pretty sure the bellow wiring diagram is correct I just need to figure out which wire to use. I was thinking either CDC30, CDC32 or CDC35

Hi John
Did you work out which circuits? I am considering the Gator install as well.

Hi Camo,
I never got any info about the consequences of interrupting the ACC/RUN lines or the others. What I ended up doing was interrupt the starter (Blue/White) wire that comes out of the BCM and goes to the starter relay in the engine bay. I found that the Gator device and/or it’s relay would not always act quickly enough if I used the default wiring layout provided with their relay – with the vehicle ‘disabled’ sometimes the engine would start, sometimes it wouldn’t.
To get around this I cut the loop of yellow wire on the Gator relay and fed it power from an accessory feed from the vehicle. This meant the Gator was woken up when the key moves to the first position and has time to activate the relay before the key is moved to the start position.
I can’t remember which plug and wire it is off the top of my head but can look it up again if you need.
The only concern I have with interfering with the starter wire is if someone is driving the vehicle, you ‘disable’ it and they stop out of phone signal area. They can’t start the car again and you can’t find it to retrieve it. But it’s a risk I’m willing to take for now.
Overall, very happy with the Gator though, I can download tracks from the web portal instead of using Hema maps to track my trips and the app is nice and simple to use.

John
