Thank you Stewart for your work.
Hi all. I just had a quick look at my mates Raptor to look for the plug/connector near the horns. I located a black coloured connector with two wires (green & brown). Is this where the loom from front sensors plug into.
Cheers

I'm confused. You have a PXIII Ranger and are fitting sensors? Did every XLT PXIII not come with them?

I do not believe that is the correct plug as it is 3 times that size and I would not expect the Raptor to have the plug as it did not have sensors from memory.

You're correct. No plug in the Raptor. Still deciding other Options now for some sort of front park assist or front camera.
Cheers.

If you want to run wires all the way back to the BCM I would be pretty certain it would be doable but effort involved may not be worth it.

I used ARB cages for the front but genuine seems to be one part number per bezel. Every country is showing different part numbers and then there is the colour.

These part numbers may help the dealer. They are all different angles etc.

EB3T-15A861-***
EB3T-15A864-***
EB3T-15A863-***

These should be the 4 across the front.

You cannot use the additional 2 sensors. Pre MY19 BCM will not support the additional.

Plausibly work although you will also need to change some asbuilt and also reprogram PATS, so unless you have dealer access with FDRS then no.

Also PATS for your vehicle and newer BCM may not be fully compatible, so it would be a test. I have not had a chance to test as yet.

Hey all, I finally got around to installing front parking sensors on my MY15+ 2016 XLT.
Always annoyed me that I picked my new car up, and only a few weeks later XLT's appeared with Sync 3 & Front sensors!
Ah well, at least I haven't got a DPF! ;)
I reckon I got a MY17 front bar 18 months ago, but it was the wrong colour. It was the dark grey, but look Aluminium in the photos. Still bought it as it had the loom & sensors. It was cheap too.
Then found another bar (Correct Aluminium Colour) via Facebook just 2 weeks ago, which didn't have the loom & sensors. I swapped out the loom and painted the sensors. Installed it all yesterday!

Changed the values in the PAM & IPC...Didn't have to do the Sync 3 I'd installed, already showed correct after the PAM changes. Forscan showed APIM Front & Rear Parking distance as enabled.

Only issue I've found is that after the IPC changes, I can't turn off the front sensors when active. Menu appears when front's are active, & i'm able to select off, but pressing ok doesn't turn off. They will go off it I hit reverse & turn the rears off. I know
Ah well, still good to have them. Might source the console switch, and arrange a visit in the future Stewart!
Thanks for your write up here.
On a side note, interesting that the newer bars a made up of multiple clipped together sections vs the MY15+ mainly one piece items.

Just and FYI for all, I did this install on the vehicle i the last post today. Vehicle was a build 1 month out from being an MY17 and ended up having the wiring in place for the switch in full once traced back to the BCM.

So if you have a vehicle that is a 07/16 it is plausible that no wiring will be required at all. Plug in switch and complete the programming changes and all done.

Thanks for yesterday's work Stewart. Between the parking switch being installed, and the Trans/Tyre update, I'm happy as a pig in ....

Are the front sensors just the same plug as the back sensors? I am struggling to source front sensors for 2017 wildtrak here in uk, hoping to get a set of rear sensors and plug in then use forscan to activate them?

Hi,I’ve installed my new sensors and wiring harness to my front bar and made the changes on FORScan and now when I’m in drive my front sensors are constantly beeping.
Is the other changes I need to make in FORScan to stop this from happening?
Thanks

They will only beep if they are seeing something. Which one is beeping? Have you made changes to APIM Sync2/3? If so you will be able to see which sensor has the issue.

I done the heated px3 wildtrak seats into px2 xlt, followed the wiring diagrams swapped the fcim to wildtrak all working well, had to add 2 power feeds and power supply and a couple for temp sensors into the fcim. only tricky part was working out the wiring diagrams it was a bit confusing but once figured out it all made sense. (i had the right switch operating the left seat at first) had to run another power feed to the seat for moving forward backwards too. no fault codes & no programming required.
