ARB Bullbars & Parking Sensors

ARB bullbars have had for a long time issues with the parking sensors due to the reuse of the OE Ford plastic grommets.
These were designed to fit into a 1.5 mm thick plastic bumper - not one made from 3.2 mm thick steel consequently the grommets never fitted quite correctly and issues with the sensors and moisture were quite common.
ARB now manufacture their own grommets, the only issue is that on older pre 2021 style bullbars - such as mine - the circular stamped out hole has to be filed out to allow correct fitment as the ARB grommet is slightly square to ensure that the sensor is "aimed" correctly.
I was given my set of 8 grommets gratis but I don't think that the cost of a full set will be outrageous.
I would strongly advise anyone fitting them to make a template first out of thin sheet metal and them use this to mark out the areas to be filed out and paint the bare metal. I used a black nail polish as its a good colour match.
