This is a useful one. Instantaneous amount of current being drawn or put into the main battery.

Good stuff Stewart,

I'll have a play with both this one as well as the DPF stuff, hopefully over the next few days.

Heading down to Keith tomorrow to watch the 9yo grandson quad bike racing, so may not get to it until early in the week.

Thanks for your work mate. :)

Test and works on Ultragauge. So will add it there and once Gerry confirms for SG, I will add it there

Note gauge in 1 amp increments. There is no option for.00

It will be a positive or a negative figure. Depending on whether alternator is charging or not.

Hi Stewart,
These codes appear to work. No decimal point, but I really don't think that is required anyway. It reads both negative and positive and appears to track loadings (Spotlights & high beam, no engine, -54amps) and charging (+50amps and ramping down) when engine is started.

TXD: 072622402B
RXF: 04620540062B
RXD: 3008
MTH: 00010001FF81

I haven't had a chance to compare directly with Forscan though. We have visitors as well as tradies doing work around here, so lots of distractions at the moment.

I still have to have a play with the DPF settings as well sometime - will report back soon mate.

Cheers
Gerry

Should be all good. My tests with Forscan and IDS showed it was spot on and neither showed a figure in after a decimal. So perfect.

You might want to check the MTH.

you have
MTH: 000010001FF81

Thats one to many characters (max 12, you have 13), possibly one to many zeros at the start. I removed one zero, and looked about right.

Its listed in the main listing of stuff with 13 characters too.

Just sayin ;)

Thank you.

Main listing has been amended. Gerry can edit his above post if he feels the need.

I'm not familiar with the requirements for Torque Pro, but Stewart might be - not sure.

I had a quick look and it requires a Name, min & max values, scale factor, unit type, equation, diagnostic stop & start commands. I assume it would be a matter of knowing the process to be able to convert the PID stream to Torque requirements?

You looking for Charging AMPS?

Try, untested;

PID: 22402B
Min Value: -100
Max Value: 100
Equation A-126
Header 0726

Thanks Stewart,
I was thinking amps drawn, I'll double check but I think I have a gauge for charging.

It will show amps coming in and out of the battery. So could be a negative or positive figure.

Had a play with this today, I'ts reading between +3 and +6 amps?
I've tried turning all the lights on and spotties doesn't seem to make much difference.
It that what you guys are seeing on your SC/UG ?

Thanks

Try it with the vehicle off with lights on and it should go negative.

Also it may not work as expected if you have dual battery mode enabled.

I have never seen the BMS put more than 6amp into the battery even when viewing with Ford tool. I put a 35 amp charger on it and still no more. So it safe to say you cannot put too much current through the battery.

I have dual battery mode enabled, and it’s a nice little feature viewing battery SofC and current flow.

Often up to 80amps after initial start up, and drops back to around 20amps then reduces as a battery gets closer to 100%.

With camper connected and two more batteries, it constantly punches out a much higher rate and also shows a different battery SofC...must be due to the draw from the camper batteries.
