SSM 46374 - Vehicles Equipped with a 2.2L or 3.2L Duratorq-TDCi Puma Diesel Engine - Loss of Power and/or Engine Running Rough

Some 2011-17 Ranger, Everest/Endeavour and Transit vehicles equipped with a 2.2L or 3.2L Duratorq-TDCi Puma diesel engine may exhibit loss of power and/or the engine running rough which may have been caused by fuel leaking from the high pressure outlet/inlet of the high pressure pump or injector. Should a vehicle present with the above condition(s), technicians are advised to replace the high pressure fuel pump high pressure washer (Part No. BK2Q 9N846 AA) or fuel injector shield washer (Part No. BK2Q 9M577 CA) as required. For additional information, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM) Section: 303-04. Please use service labor operation number 9846A (Washer - High Pressure Fuel Injection Pump (9N846) – Replace) or9529C (Seal Washer Fuel Injector (One)) from Section 9 of the SLTS manual and refer the SSM when completing a claim.
