Is it possible to enable ambient lighting control in the XLT's or is there also a hardware requirement as well?
Cheers

You can enable but it still requires the compatible lighting and wiring additions to the BCM. I have the required light in my front USB area tray but just need to wire it. These a 3 pin led module and fitting the tray area one is a pain, like an hour pain if you know what to do.

Door handle ones you would need to drill and cut to suit and possibly hot glue in. Drivers and Passenger compartment areas would be the easiest to fit as they are easily accessible.
