Climate Menu in Dash

A bit of background - My vehicle went in to Ford for some warranty work last week, as a result they replaced one of the modules behind the main display trying to get the issue with the reverse camera not returning to the main screen after disengaging, to work properly (the fix didn't work) and as a result they did a full reset with the latest firmware on all the modules. Stew if you want copies of my latest as built files let me know.

Anyone know what the Off Road gauge is? I have to pop out so don't have anymore time tonight to play.

I am not sure if I had this option previously but after the updates I went through with Forscan and remapped everything back to how I want it (chime disable, fuel tank size etc) and saw that there was the Climate option on the IPC. I just enabled and saved and got the menu up in the dash, all fully functioning. I hadn't seen this in a topic on any forums before and only found a quick reference to it tonight in a non related thread.

Just thought I would put it up as I quite like the option, easier and faster than using the voice control.

Tried this but changed it back.

With it Enabled and ignition on all instruments etc displayed as they normally do.

The instant the key is turned the whole dash goes blank until the engine starts then it all comes back.

It's probably okay but one a dealer will/may pick up.

I can't say I noticed the same as you but if I remember I will suss it out.

I enabled this at the weekend and didnt notice what Ross described above.

However, I think the feature is a bit half-baked and can see why they didn't include it as standard. Once you adjust the fan speed using the steering wheel controls, how are you supposed to re-select "auto"? Seems to me that you can't without reverting back to the original dash button.

Also, by the time you've come out of the Navigation or Entertainment menu and scrolled down, selected and adjusted fan speed or temperature, you could have just pressed a button on the dash.

If the screen controls replaced something that was only available through the main screen, i could understand it, but they don't, they just replicate physical buttons that are there all the time.

Its each to their own and was only ever designed for single zone anyway and even in single zone was made for simplicity.

For me personally it save trying to find the button or screen while driving in peak hour traffic. Eyes off the road for 1 second can lead to an unhappy ending so for me I use it every single day.

Is this still an option? I cannot seem to find it but would like to enable the climate screen on the dash. 2019 XLT if it makes a difference...

Non asbuilt IPC, climate is still there. If you cannot see the IPC then the adaptor you are using is the issue.

I just upgraded to PX3 this week and finally plugged up Forscan, I also couldnt find it tonight on a quick look, I will hunt it down tomorrow and let you know where I found it.

On a side note I found lots of gauge options for boost, oil temp, intake temp etc, sadly none of them worked :(

Most options will not work as they are for different vehicles. Forscan in all their wisdom decided to include all IPC changes whether they suited the firmware for a specific vehicle or not. But at the same time breaking some item on specific models.

720-05-01 xxFx-xxxx-xxxx should sort it.

Also easiest way to find items it to use the filter box at the top. Type climate and see if anything appears, it should be called "climate menu", if not then that is broken also.

Hi Stewart, trying to add climate to ipc on a 2021 WT. I keep getting a "service procedure has been interrupted" message and disconnect. I can make bcm and apim changes but the ipc keeps booting me. Any idea? Using obdlink ex

Hi everyone please help I tried adding the climate screen to my PX2 Ranger and something went wrong - after the key cycle the climate screen was showing on the cluster but my sync 3 screen was completely dead. So I panicked and changed the setting back to disable the climate screen and after the key cycle my sync 3 turned on thankfully!

Im to scared to try it again I don’t want to damage something.
I have done this climate screen in the past and it did work with no issues so not sure why it’s glitching now any ideas on what’s going on, or someone with similar issues ?

I have the latest Forscan installed.

Just do it again. Programming the IPC cannot influence the APIM/Sync3 in any way at all.

Whatever happened was just an unknown.

If you have further issues then screen shots of what was changed may be helpful.

Question! I successfully updated the climate controls into the lefthand screen of my Wildtrak cluster using FORscan and Stewart’s OBD dongle. There were no issues in enabling the feature. But, now the clock is not showing any time in that left screen. Is there a fix for this? I’m just getting “- -:- -“

Added climate to IPC, is there anyway to activate on SYNC 3 to be able to change temps from steering wheel. When you change temps in steering wheel, it just reverts back to what’s on SYNC screen.
