CAN Bus connections

Is there a nice easy place to tap into the can bus lines?

I am trying to do this non invasive, i.e. not cutting or splicing any wires.

Currently I have managed to get some wires into the back of the SDLC connector but trying to get under the dash to that module is a royal pain. If there is connector somewhere that someone knows of that is more easily accessible, that would be great.

There are multiple can buses (that focus on different parts of car functions) in the car that talk to each other through a gateway module (kinda like a network router). This gateway is the only place you'll be able to communicate with all the canbus's and is what connects to the OBD port. I 'think' the gateway module is right near the OBD (SDLC?) port.
Be careful.

The gateway is the actual rear OBD port assuming you have both in the UK.

Depending on what bus you want you would be best to purchase a FortinFOR3 patch harness as it will contain HS1 and HS3 https://fortin.ca/en/products/vehicle-s ... thar-for3/

Yes in the UK we have both ports.

Thanks for your replies.

I found that most of the messages I was looking for are on the MS-CAN so I tapped into the trailer tow module under the passenger seat.
