Custom PID Calculator

Any changes, fixes or new data should be posted in the appropriate threads and it will be updated.

NB This can can be used in your browser on your mobile device and swiping left/right will allow you you view all details.

100% tested and working mgauges will go here. This will eventually fill with existing and never seen before gauges. As I get time to monitor the CAN BUS I will add more.

If there is a specific gauge you are looking for and if the vehicle supports it then start a new topic and make a request. Some things do not exist, like EOT for instance. If you monitor this you will only get what it provides and that is only on off ( oil pressure, no oil pressure ). *PX3 should support this now.

I spend an immense amount of time finding these and providing working solutions. Think twice about posting them all over the web and bring people to the site with a link instead. One it helps to build a community where answers to problems can be resolved and two it gives people an opportunity to make a small or large donation to keep the site up an running to share this information. Helping the site helps you enjoy your vehicle to its full potential.

It is not a PID issue. It has been tuned out it would seem.

Hey All.

Heres a fun one - I have had ultragauge in my 3.2l PX3 for two years.

Sold the car kept the gauge, purchased a 21 ranger raptor and converted it to coyote v8 with roush blower from killa kustoms.

Really wanting to monitor temps of the gearbox all M gauges work except gear position and trans temp :(

The car now runs a mustang ecu and converter to make all the raptor electrics work. Do I need to be programming my ultragauge as a mustang rather than a Raptor?

When loading into the car via forscan I can see gearbox temp no worries.

Being the Mustang PCM is usually a combined PCM/TCM that run s the engine and transmission then you will need to run the trans PIDs that the Mustang uses.

Still thought it would have been 1E1C, so try 7E0 instead of 7E1.

Hi Stewart,

Just wondering if you could run you eye over this to see what I am doing wrong with the EGRT? Constantly reads 2048.
Using OBDLink dongle and app.
2015 px11 3.2 Pre DPF

Cheers

You have an old engine calibration. Probably a BTF or earlier which did not support the PID so it will show 2047.96875.

Hi Saeb

Thanks so much for posting the PID Calculator and the time you have put in compiling the parameters for the various CAN sensors. As I stated in my Intro to members, I couldn't find a repository anywhere that was reliable or complete before coming to this Forum. Well done and thank God someone had the sense to do it in the fashion you have achieved.

I have entered the parameters for a number of the sensors and am generally pleased with the result after several days of getting nowhere with programming.

I have a question for you if you don't mind in relation to the "AdBlue Tank Level" sensor PID.

I added that however the sensor refuses to read anything with my Ford Everest 2015 vehicle on Car Scanner ELM OBD2.

I note with your PID Calculator there is also the "AdBlue Tank Level % - TEST". Would it be worth trying that and can you advise why the word 'TEST' with this PID?

With many thanks, Tim

Hi Tim, TEST is for people to test and hopefully provide feedback. I have never been provided feedback so it stays.

You can test whatever you want. End of the day it won't hurt anything, it just may or may not work on a particular vehicle depending on calibration levels.

Hi Saeb, love your work, you are a great help to so many.
I tried adding a new topic although don't think my account can.
I'd love to know the PID for the Realtime L/100 that can be seen in the right hand screen of a 2018 Everest. I like to have the realtime speed in that screen so I can see it clearly, the L/100 uses a different display of this screen so I cannot have both at the same time.
I use a BT OBD2 device and Torque Pro on Android phone.
Many thanks, Munsie

2.0l and 3.2l will be;

Engine Fuel Rate (Instantaneous Fuel Economy)

PID 22F45E
MIN VALUE 0 (BASICALLY UP TO YOU)
MAX VALUE 50 (BASICALLY UP TO YOU)
HEADER 7E0
EQUATION ((A*256)+B)*1/20
UNITS l/h

For average economy it is calculated in the cluster and is a different PID.

Hi Stewart

Just a quick one , you mentioned an engine calibration in relation to EGT PID reading 2048 , is this FORD software thing that can be updated as I would really like to monitor EGT's

Thanks Heap

Yes, your local dealer can update the PCM calibration to the latest which will resolve your problem.

Thanks so much Stewart. I am a newbie but I had to send you a few bucks today for the pain that you saved me when setting up my scangauge on my Everest.

OK, the following is a bit tongue in cheek but… Perhaps when people do a search, your site asked them how much they would pay to take the pain away, then ask them to donate just 10% of that when they get the result that they are looking for.

Everyone’s time has a value, your members and you. Cheers Rob

Can confirm that the DPF soot closed loop works on a 2022 PX3 XLS much better than the factory one on dash it changes every percent.

Hi Stew,

Are you able to advise which PID I should use for EGT -
2017 XLS, I have an aftermarket high flow turbo, 3 inch exhaust if any of that matters.

Clearly states EGRT Pre DPF on one item. Not sure what more you want.
