Thoughts on Next Gen Wildtrak X?

Hey all

I wasn't planning to replace my Wildtrak any time soon, figured I'd hold off until I can get a PHEV or BEV model. Except I got rear-ended the other week and while fixable it got me wondering if it's time to let the old one go. Shortly afterward I stumbled upon the new "Limited Edition" Wildtrak X which is surprisingly more than a sticker pack. It's kinda like a modern version of what I've been building towards.

Some really nice features:
* Bilstein dampers with position-sensitive valving.
* 17" wheels
* ~1" lift and ~1" wider track
* Matrix headlights
* Full-time 4WD
* Euro-6
* Rock-crawl mode, turn assist, etc.

Anyone had a drive yet, or inside info?

Had a chat to my vehicle supplier about this today. Sounds like a nice rig however only available with the 2L donk. That's less than ideal. Apparently ford can't keep up with the v6 demands so are trying to push the 2L engine as there is plenty of stock available

Cheers Lincolnland. I don't need the extra grunt of the V6 so it doesn't bother me that much, but yeah, it's an odd choice. Seems it's similar to the Everest rather than the other Rangers, needing adblue, so at least it's a bit cleaner I guess. Maybe a global market choice, or maybe it was easier to pull the 2.0 AWD drivetrain from the Everest...

I see Australia's most powerful raptor is for sale. $105k will get you 360rwkw of petrol powered goodness. Will need shares in BP or Shell to go along with it!

It's a beast though. Car Expert has a drag race video between the 3 motors, and the Raptor (of course) absolutely smokes the 3.0 V6 and 2.0 I4. The gap between the two diesels wasn't as much as I expected.
