Can anyone tell me which plug on the back is the FM radio one? There are two coax plugs on the radio unit and one on the back of the screen, but they aren’t labelled. I have the aerpro adapter cable, but the colour of it doesn’t match any of the thee colours of the Ford plugs.

I’m assuming that the one on the back of the screen is for the GPS and the two on the radio unit are for FM and Digital Radio. I just don’t know which is which on the radio unit.

Unplug one cable at a time and check?

Thanks Ian, what is the FM2 diversity antenna or the diversity antenna amplifier? I figured that the two plugs would be FM for one and DAB for the other.
I can tell you that the coax plug for the GPS is blue. Regarding the head unit plugs that I am trying to figure out, one coax plug that goes into the head unit is black and the other one white.

Apparently the two antenna connectors are physically different (although look the same)
AM/FM is and Satellite (I assume DAB for Aus) is Good luck.

Righto, I had a play with this this afternoon. Unfortunately my new antenna plug fits on the white one and the black one. Trialing both and connecting/disconnecting whilst having the radio on I reckon that the black one is the FM antenna and the white one is the other one that does whatever it does.

For whoever is interested, I got some info from Ford.

There are 2 FM antennas FM1 and FM2, the FM2 antenna is mounted at the front of the vehicle behind the front bumper and the FM1 antenna is the roof mounted one.

Have been trying to figure how to move the roof antenna, as it is covered by camper overhang.
Behind the LHS pillar are three cables.
From this thread I realise one is the GPS, the sensor being in the roof mount. This is a worry as it doesn't get much of a sky view when the camper is on.
The other two then will be FM1and AM, I guess.

If anyone can clarify what is what, and which of these I have to connect to a front bar mounted antenna would be appreciated.
Also any hints on moving GPS sensor??

PS, also, I thought DAB antenna was under the bonnet. Is this the FM2 youre referring to Evert?

Took these pics of the three cables behind the pillar.
The two black cables have mini-coax fittings, the other smaller pink is single push on connector.
Disconnect the pink cable, no DAB and AM & FM signals are reduced but still received.
Disconnect one of the coax cables and lose reception to everything.
Remove the other coax, and no change to reception to DAB , AM or FM. GPS sender perhaps?

So just one of the coax cables is for radio. Pink single cable for a booster of some kind?
Would need to make up an adapter to divert that radio cable to a bar mounted aerial.

Evert, which of the Aerpros adapters did you use? APA67, AP339?
Am not that confident about pulling trim off to get to back of head unit but it might be the only way to do this.

Further, one of the Fakra connectors is for GPS, the other for radio.
So my intention is to purchase of these, even though it is a different Fakra shell.

I so believe the DAB+ antenna is in the front drivers wheel arch. And also the wiring route must have changed for PX3 because i believe on PX1 and PX2 it runs down the drivers side pillar along with the cables for the reading lights and sensors. I could be wrong though. But given that the antenna in PX1 and PX2 is located directly above them it would make sense.

Hi Neiloh, sorry for the late reply mate.

From memory the cable I bought is the ADA67.

FM2 is indeed the DAB antenna and I believe it sits in the wheel arch. I did not go through the pillar, I removed the head unit and changed the plugs there for the FM1 antenna. Not a hard job, especially if you buy or borrow a trim remover tool.
