I don't see the ABS Service Bleed in the service section in Forscan, is this supported? I have a 2017 PX2 XLT.

Thanks

I have asked for it to be added, don't rely on having it in the next release.

Try this version built last night. I had some changes made to ABS.

http://forscan.org/download/FORScanSetu ... 201126.exe

If you do not see it then send me logs.

FORScan for Windows

Note: FORScan for Windows has Debug Mode setting enabled by default so debug information is recorded always. So all what user needs is to send the information from the laptop. The instruction below explains how to do it. However, if the Debug Mode setting was previously disabled for some reason, you have to enable it, remove vehicle profile (Vehicles->Profiles, delete vehicle from the list), connect and reproduce the problem before move forward with the steps below.

1. Make sure FORScan is closed.
2. Open FORScan Log folder.
2.1.Windows 7 and older: press Windows Start button->All programs->FORScan->FORScan Log folder.
2.2. Windows 8 and newer: click on the Windows icon at the bottom left corner. Find FORScan group in the list (under letter 'F'). Expand the group. Find FORScan Log folder item in the expanded group and click on it.
3. Folder with logs will be opened, you should see 2 files there: dump.bin and FORScan.log (may be more). Please zip them (if possible) and email to us.

I finally got a chance yesterday to try this out after just getting my car back. The menu is there but it does not do what I had hoped.
I was hoping it would work like in this video where the ABS system pushes the brake fluid out the bleeder, making it a one person job.

What it does on my 2017 PX2 XLT, is open some valves then prompt you to open the bleeder then push the brake pedal every 2 seconds and then close the bleeder when prompted. So it is still a two person job. The menu in the video where he picked what was replaced and what wheel does not appear.
I wonder if this is a model specific thing?

Thanks

Have you just changed fluid or had the abs pump out. As i use a snapon vacuum bleeder, works great for changing fluid on your own.

The idea of the procedure on the Rangers is to allow everything to purge through all areas of the ABS module. Basically that is all from memory.

The quickest easiest way to bleed the ABS is to find a quiet dirt road and while traveling at 40-50kph jam on the brakes to lock up. Do this a couple of times, then bleed each wheel. May also need to bleed the 2 pipes at the master cylinder. Had 2 brake places and a Ford dealer try to bleed the ABS, all with poor results.
