So I've been having problems with my handsfree, alot of background noise from my microphone or like a static noise. I have read somewhere ford Ranger PX2 has noise cancelation in it. Can this be turned off if it has it? Also just been searching and found a spreadsheet for a Fusion with Sync 2 and it has Remove Fake Engine noise. Could this be a problem aswell? and can it be turned off on the Rangers?

XLT Rangers do not have ANC (Active Noise Cancelling) and I think it was only added to Wildtrak's from 2017 onwards which could be another reason for the quieter Wildtrak I drove the other week. These models will have a module called DACMC with an additional 3 microphones. Looks like I may be pulling the car apart again as I do have one of these sitting around.

Noise cancelling for the phone would be a normal feature found in every device these days including the Sync 2 system itself.

I know of one other Sync 2 unit in a Falcon that has the same problem. I have never looked into it. Is this only with your phone or all phones? Have you spoken to Ford about it? If it is all phones then I would, it could even be a faulty Sync 2 unit.

Happens with all phones. Has been back to ford 5 times now. They believe nothing is wrong with it. Each time they do a software update. Once they changed the microphone.
After that I changed dealerships as was to far to travel each time. Went to my local dealer. Last time I rang them and they said nothing wrong with your call atm and we can't find nothing wrong so basically deal with it.
Which I decided I might try work something out myself. I can't make ford believe something is wrong with it. Fighting a losing battle. Unless you know of a way to win?
Cheers

Sorry mate I do not. I would keep pushing your case unfortunately. I still think it is a faulty Sync unit.
