Greetings,
Been about 10yrs since my last new vehicle purchase, and I didn't think to ask for the vehicle's privacy policy... My bad.
So now I'm on a mission to defang the rolling spyware.

I've been in computer security since the 70's, so I'll probably end-up writing a presentation on it when it's done.

Presently, I have Forscan connected with an ELM327, the radio connected to a stingray, and I'm working on getting an intermediate certificate in - and I really didn't want to have to undertake this process.

Oh, hey, but I have a bedrug I just tossed in there, and two Swingcases! :-)

Hopefully not one of these - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stingray_phone_tracker - they're illegal as hell in Australia unless you're law enforcement with a warrant.

Greetings!

I'm not in Australia, and I don't claim to know Australian law. And would, of course, always suggest everyone contemplating any form of reverse engineering, data capture, and/or analysis, be it over CAN, TCP, LTE, etc. consult with qualified legal council for their region before doing so.

I'm here looking at what's already been done over the CAN, in the hopes of furthering that, or at very least, not reinventing wheels that have been invented by many of you all's hard work!
