Just purchased a 2017 XLT ranger.
Looking at ways to measure transmission temp and where do you mount a CB radio antenna?

ATF temp. I'm personally using at the moment an OBDLink MX Bluetooth dongle and Forscan Lite app on a retired Samsung Galaxy S5 phone. The phone is just mounted with some Velcro on the top of the steering column and bottom lip of the instrument panel, it blocks the auto selector indicator lights on the dash but they are pretty useless anyway.
Other people use a Scanguage or Ultraguage to read ATF temp. I also monitor things like battery charge %, tyre pressures, DPF soot load % etc with the Forscan Lite.

CB antenna. I bought on evilbay a special stainless bracket for the Ranger that goes halfway up the front fender and bent to fit in the gap between the bonnet and front fender. It uses one of the existing bolts holding the fender on so no need to drill any holes. There are also brackets available that mount at back of the bonnet near the air intake. The one I have has been on for a year and has been fine. If you intend putting one of those long heavy antennas on it though, find another way as it will sway around too much and possibly damage the paint.
