Disable smart charge

Hi all
First time user on this forum
Very informative forum
I have a 2013 XLT 3.2
I want to disable this smart charge system to duel
battery mode. I’ve taken my car to ford but they said they couldn’t do this as I have changed my radio.
Does anybody know of this is correct?
I’m not very good with computers so am a little hesitant to try FORScan.
If anybody in Melb area thinks they can do this I’m
happy to pay a reasonable fee. 8-)

Big thanks to Stewart for disabling my smart charge to duel battery mode.
Something the dealer didn’t want or didn’t know how to do because I have an aftermarket radio.
Thanks again Stewart

I am wanting to disable the smart charge too. Can I ask how you went about the disabling? Did you use forscan? Or did you disconnect the shunt that determines the load of charge? Cheers.
