Forscan Dongle Type: OBDlink MX Black Bluetooth

I want to play with smart charge so I got the Forscan lite paid version.

It won't connect to the OBDLink MX dongle and says it can't find an ELM327 to connect to.

I looked on ebay and the dongles range from $6 to $40.

Am I correct in assuming that if I get an ELM327 dongle and use Forscan Lite I will be able to turn on/off dual battery mode?

Don't buy an ELM327.

First, does the computer connect to the wireless dongle ok?
If yes then post a screen shot of your connections settings in Forscan.

Ahhh, no computer, mobile only.

Mobile connects to OBDLink with OBDLink app okay.

Thanks for that Gerryp and I see that "go ahead and play with the dual battery...... Is said but I can't see it in the images.

Sorry but I am getting a little slower these days, getting old, no, I am old.

Can't see the images as we need to use braille or that they are too small?

Have you clicked on the images which will make them larger?

If the images cannot be viewed at all then it will be your browser or other software filter that is stopping it and it can only be fixed on your end.

This viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1341 video I made last week may also help explain what you're looking for.

You will find dual battery mode in the BCM and the video will show you the way. You will change dual battery mode rather than DRL instead.

Any programming will require Forscan for windows and a laptop or other. You cannot program using the mobile software.

Does this apply to an EML327 with a switch? I planned to use this on my laptop and downloaded FORscan (free) from the FORscan website. Im very confused.

Only way to confirm is to test it. Wired with switch will work slowly but no idea about wifi with switch.
