Ciao
do someone tried to add an aftermarket rear view camera on Sync 3 of a MY19?
Is there a dedicated plug on the back of Sync 3 or do you need special wiring or adapters?
What are the As-built to change to enable the rear camera with guidelines in Sync 3?

Thank you!!! :)

You will need pins to fit the existing plug on the Sync 3 loom.

There is nothing fancy to be done and I currently use a cctv camera on a Sync 3 on the bench.

You will not get guideline without a genuine camera which also needs to be wired to the BCM.

Has anybody made a Y-connector to allow this? Interested in manually switching between two different camera inputs..

I'm interested in enabling that on my xlt as well, where do I get the new pins and where should I connect them?

No they have not as the call for it is so small. Find a basic composite video switch and use that. In reality to switch cameras would not be a difficult job, just the time to cut and splice etc.

Just plug this inline with your Sync2 or 3 https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/ ... d94anKr3or it will give you a quick simple interface for a camera.

Note that the the rca is just wired inline with the rest of the harness so if you have an exiting camera they would both be fighting to provide video but it gives a start to making a quick loom or if you have no camera then any standard composite camera can be plugged into the rca.

Think I have a couple left somewhere but for the price and the amount of people that want them I will not be stocking them.

No I don't have a stock camera, here only the automatic xlt comes with factory fitted camera, that's why I bought an aftermarket camera, but it comes with a mirror, which is not confortable to me. As I can see that loom extensión is quite pricey, but those pins seems very hard to find... I guess I'll have no choice

Pricey? 15$ US each is a bargain and is why I bought 4 of them.

Okay I finally installed the loom in my PX2, but it doesn't work. The camera works fine when installed in the mirror, so I don't know why it doesn't work. Do I have to use forscan to change something?
