Adaptive cruise and collision assist

Hey guys I just bought a 2017 xlt ranger this week I bought it interstate and when it arrived here the cruise control does not work. It has an aftermarket bumper installed and the module sits behind it. I removed the bumper and drove it and still nothing at all. When you first start the vehicle it comes up with a message saying pre collision assist unavailable and then if you select cruise control it says adaptive cruise unavailable as well.
I used a snap on scan tool and the only code it has is U3002-62 witch means the module has the incorrect vin number in it.
Is it possible to reprogram the correct vin to the module and have it work? It’s frustrating as I was excited for my new and the previous guy has done a dodgey somewhere and I would like to just fix the issue.
Thanks in Advance Benny.

I’ve been talking to ford today they are going to look at it next week again and see what they think. I’ll also look into it when my forscan diag connector gets here this week. I will keep you posted mate.

So a previous owner has replaced the sensor as it was either damaged or faulty. It has been replaced with a second hand unit from another vehicle.

You have my email.

Save the CCM asbuilt and email the saved file and your VIN number. Will fix and email file back for you to load again. This will resolve your issue.

Hey Stewart I just received my Ute back from ford after they done some warranty jobs and they looked into the cruise again. I gave the Ute to them without the bumper on it and they recalibrated and adjusted the module and now it works fine. I put the bumper back on and it still works great.

I now have my forscan dongle and will start having a look with it.
Is there a way to delete the front bumper parking sensors and also change the fuel tank size to suit the arb 140L tank?

Have a watch of the video here > https://www.saeb.net/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1341 <. This will show you how to access non asbuilt options.

Fuel tank size is in the IPC and will currently be showing 80, you will need to check if parking sensor for your vehicle are in the PAM non abuilt. If so then change from 8 to 4. If not make an asbuilt change as below in the PAM.

736-01-01
Currently will be x8xx-xxxx-xx
Change to x4xx-xxxx-xx

and

736-03-01
Currently will be x4xx-xxxx-xx
Change to x6xx-xxxx-xx

Thanks for the info mate I will check it out. When I go into the fuel tank sizing it only has one option and that is 80 litres.
Do you have to change asbuilt data to allow the option for 140 litres.

You edit the setting from 80 to 140 and save it.
