Full Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB ) will be available on 2019 models.

As the earlier tech pack models would seem to have all the necessary hardware, I wonder if it will be possible to upgrade to full AEB ?

Currently it goes part way, by giving a collision warning, and preloading the brakes, but not actuating them. I presume full AEB was not implemented because of some software bugs needed ironing out.

IPMA, module on windscreen with camera would have to be replaced and an additional wire run. Then with programming it may work. Some other modules may require firmware updates.
