Hi Guys,

I had a ride in a colleagues 2020 Wildtrak last week and was amazed at his maps screen. So much so, I took a picture.


This is compared to my 21.21 XLT, which looks like this -


I've gone through my settings and adjusted everything I could find, but still can't get it to look the same (or similar).

Is there a difference between WT & XLT?

Is this because he runs a previous version of SYNC 3 (I'm on 3.4).

Or is there another explanation? There was no phone plugged in and I selected the normal SYNC 3 "NAVIGATION" from the bottom menu on his car (someone else was driving).
Just can't seem to explain the difference, or emulate it with mine, as it obviously looks a lot better.

Any feedback or ideas welcome.

They are both 3.4.

Compare version of maps, I have seen even new vehicles running ANZ 117, latest being ANZ 221

Settings / General / About Sync, and scroll down.

I'm on ANZ 220. Seems a big jump to 221, if that's the difference.

Can this be updated without a dealer? I have it on auto update and connects to my WiFi every night. Or is this different?

And the other one is running what version maps?

Dealers do not have 221 in there hands as far as I know so you will have to ask at service and maps do not update over wifi.

I never did compare 220 to 221 so am making assumptions that the versions on your images were different.
