Hi all, I'm trying to get a straight answer on whether the TPMS Training tool (8C2Z-1A203-A) is compatible with PX3 Rangers. I specifically have an MY19 PX3 Wildtrak.
In my searching all I can uncover is that the PX2 and PX3 sensors are different and unless rotating through the spare wheel or replacing a sensor on a PX3, then the training tool is generally not required for rotations due to its additional antennas.
I'm preparing my Ranger for some longer trips and have two spares, I want to rotate these through over the life of tyres so understand I need a training tool. I've yet to find a seller of the training tool listed above that states the tool is compatible with PX3, many seem to only reference PX2 models.
Keen to purchase through Stewart while he has stock assuming the tool works for my model.

I thought the PX3 had antennas near each wheel to pick up the signal from what ever wheel is installed. No training required.

I've read mixed views on this. Both what you have written, and the alternative being that it picks up the location on each wheel but not when you add new sensors (i.e. the spare or replace a damaged sensor). But if you know this for certain that's good for me.
Ultimately, when I rotate the new wheels I'm going to find out, just hoping to be prepared ahead of time if the tool is needed.
If no confirmation before, I will update this with what I find when the tyres are rotated through.

I just bought a new sensor to replace a broken one on my left front wheel. I also recently bought a training tool so was keen to work out how to use it.....but the sensor has automatically added itself and is working fine. No training required. Happy days. 2020 PX3 XLT.
