Michael.james wrote: Sat Jun 18, 2022 1:12 pm Hey just a quick question, when changing the tyre circumference do we input the Ford corrected circumference or the true circumference figure??

Iv input the true circumference "2698" figure and my speed is now 7-8 km/h out??
You enter what the instructions say for 726-12-01 generally.

Either way if done correctly then speedometer will show approx 5 to 6 km high as per factory specs. If you wish to do otherwise then you can make this call.

Hi Stuart.
I now know the 0977 would be the number to use when running 33's but then it says or my custom TCM calibration?

I'm just wondering what is the difference with your custom TCM calibration vs someone using the 0977 ?

Cheers

Means I write a new calibration to the transmission that will allow the full tyre size change including moving shift points back to factory.

What's involved and what does the custom tyre size calibration cost?

I have 285 65 18 Which is about 32.6"

Does it need to be on a dyno?

Is there a thread on the forum for more info?

Thanks

Hi guys,

I've got a 2021 Wildtrak X Bi-Turbo 21.25 running 285/65-17 wheels. Using the calculator it advises to input the values below:

Required BCM value at 726-12-01 is xxxx-0985-xxxx

I write the changes and do the TCM relearn, and drive as normal. Speedo seems correct (much better than leaving the BCM value as standard with those new wheels). Everything is OK in general.

Although for a few months now and several fuel tanks of diesel later I'm constantly getting low fuel level warnings (80, 40 and 0 k's to go) - premature even - when I'm clearly not even close to being empty. When I fill up at the servo, I'm only ever pumping like 60-65 litres in. Even when my DTE says 0. Meaning there's something like 17-20 litres left in the tank.

Is this something we just "live" with or does another setting requiring updating?

Do I need to reset both Trip 1 and Trip 2 after the TCM relearn so the computer can take a proper base reading?

Cheers

Ollie

Hey mate, pretty sure the max value only applies to the 6-speed gearbox. I have the Bi-Turbo with the 10R80. Hopefully I haven't read the calculator wrong? :?

Hi Hi!

2016 Everest Trend. Putting my 265/65/R18 into the calculator get's me 0984, so sounds like I need your custom calibration installed.

How/where do I purchase this?

Appreciate the help.

Thank you.

True Circumference mm: 2519
Ford Corrected Circumference mm: 2436

Required BCM value at 726-12-01 is xxxx-0984-xxxx

6 speed automatic. Your max value is 0977 unless you have my custom TCM calibration installed. Anything over this value will cause a DTC.

Hi I have a PX2 2015 XLT auto, since going to a bigger tyre I have noticed that my auto shift point near the 60km/hr is a little high than it used to be, i.e. keeping the engine in the higher rev range before shifting. Would changing the tyre size using Forescan fix this or do i need custom tune the auto computer.
Thanks

Will depend on your tyre size at the end of the day to what you can do or not do.

Hi Stewart,

Is this tyre size calculator valid for the RA Ranger 10speed transmission. I’m using one your cables with the latest Forscan. Thank you.

Hi, I'm currently a newbie and trying to learn using Forscan.

Can I change my Tyre size in BCM non-asbuilt module? Or do I have to do this in the asbuilt?

Up to you but I suggest you use the calculator and enter your tyre size then read the instructions that follow.

I've recently updated my next gen to raptor wheels. Is there a procedure I can use to recalibrate the speedo? Or is this a service you offer Stewart??

Hey team,

I have been entering my tyre size into the calculator but it does not seem to give me any reading, it just takes me to the post about the largest size prior to throwing fault codes. Any suggestions? new tyre size is 285/60/18.

Thanks,

Shayne.

Seems to work for me on multiple devices. If you are not then use a web browser to use the calculator.
