SSM 45560 - 2009-2015 Vehicles Equipped With 6R80 Transmission - New Foam Seal Available - Lead Frame To Shift Solenoid Connection
Vehicles built from 2015 equipped with a 6R80 transmission may be equipped witha foam strip seal (Part No. FL3Z-14B167-A) fitted between the electrical connection of the shift solenoids and the leadframe. The foam strip seal helps keep the electrical contacts clean and protected from potential contamination. Technicians are advised that when the electrical connector is disconnected on ANY 2009 onward vehicles fitted with a 6R80 transmission, a new foam strip seal should be installed prior to connection. This insert is considered a one-time use item. Always install a new foam strip seal when the connector is disconnected. SSM- 45560
