Hi everyone

As we program to get the parker light as DRL but the tail light will turn on as well.
I have a idea.
Can i install the DRL controller direct to the Parker light? get power direct from the battery .
Any problem with the computer?

Cheers

Following this thread and I have the same controller..I'm hoping to have the parkers as a DRL to have that factory look about it..can someone chime in

You can enable the parkers as DRLS's but you will also get tail lights. If the aftermarket lights use DRL and parker with the same globe and or circuit then you will have to start looking at adding diodes etc. and disabling other items in the BCM. If they are 2 different circuits or inputs into controller then additional wiring from the BCM is required.

Post the install instructions as a JPG or PDF so I can see how the controller works and what the wiring diagram looks like then I will have a straight answer.

Here is the link stu..they haven't shown the blue accessories wire which is weird..is that definitely needed as the trigger?
For the parkers I wouldn't use the yellow and white wires (not necessary)..is that ok?

Ok I found a different diagram but can only assume that all this controller is designed to do is dim the DRL's when the headlights are turn on hence the trigger wire?

I need more info on the light. What input wires do these lights have? Hi, Lo, Parkers and DRL or are parkers and DRL on the same circuit?

Does Andrew and Muney have the same headlights or are you both trying to achieve different things with different lights?

I really need more info and the full objective as I'm looking from afar trying to visual what you are bother trying to achieve. If you have to then take some photos or draw some diagrams and attach them to your post.

I'm running the stock px2 headlights and was hoping to have the parkers as DRL, however this module wouldn't work in this situation..if I was to have a seperate independent drl light it would work fine..stock park light it wouldn't work properly..something to do with the earthing within the park light circuitry from what I've been told by my auto electrician..back to the drawing board for me..

It will just create feedback through the BCM. A couple of diodes would most likely sort it.

Just use the parkers as DRL's and have the rear tail lights on. It's no biggy and is what I used to do.

Any idea what value diodes I'd need?

1N4004

1 amp diodes should be overkill and take up no room.

I would also disable bulb out for the front light in the BCM.
