Will sync3.4 connect wirelessly with Android Auto when Android 11 goes live?
I'm on the Beta program running 11 on my pixel 4xl, works with the cable but I'm stumped on the wireless.

No, Sync 3 will never support wireless AA.

Pixel 4 with Android 10 AA already has option for wireless connectivity anyway. Although once again Sync 3 is not compatible.

Ford have announced Sync 4 will support it - https://www.engadget.com/2019-10-30-for ... -auto.html

Not sure it's that great of an idea without a phone that has wireless charging. Hot pockets and dead batteries.

I have put in for one of these https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/aawireless

Still be months away but if it works then I will charge phone from a socket in the centre console rather than run leads everywhere. Also means I can then give it all the current it needs to charge properly.

They seem pretty confident in the tech, came up in my news feed the other day, maybe I can ditch the front cable after all 😁

Also waiting for mine to arrive will be great in the work car jumping in and out constantly

Update mine arrived and working great although i know sometimes the audio when making a phone call will fail i suspect its the Bluetooth glitching out and pairing to the ford ranger bt and not the AA bt

Received mine a couple of months ago now.

Can't fault it.

I've been using Screen2Auto for over a year now.

It does a lot more than what standard Auto will allow ( Like run any GPS app ) and it does have a wireless option if you have an old Android phone to make use of. Basically just wirelessly mirrors to the other phone plugged in permanently, works a treat.
