I've I have had my Ranger now for 3 years and recently asked the Dealer to turn off the door chimes. After they completely stuffed that up I bought a ELM327 and did it myself.
While doing that the Display showed low battery 11.1v So I am here looking for how to turn off Smart charge.

Hi and welcome.
Turning off smart charge is easy. All you need is Forscan and a compatible obd2 dongle. Not sure your Elm327 is up to it though as you'll need one that is able to read all modules (available through the shop here if yours doesn't work).
Anyway, have a good look around, especially the Forscan section, then ask away if you have any questions.

thank you. Yes my Elm327 works, I just needed to know where to look to enable/disable. Once I found it in BdyCM (not as built) it was easy as.

Also turned off DTC as roll bar is removed.
Fog lights now remember their last status.
Changed instantaneous fuel to numeric instead of the stupid bar graph
