Hello Guys, got my forscan usb module, and these are the errors which came through with the initial scan. Can you please enlighten me?
Things I've done with the ranger so far was to change the headlights to the mustang style ones. It was plug n play.

Thanks a lot.

The only person who can help you is Stewart.

He works 8 days a week and gets very busy, so you will need a little patience.

I'm no expert, but considering they're light faults, and you changed the lights, its probably just picked up an open circuit due to removing the headlight plugs as part of the install

My guess as well, maybe clear the codes and see what happens.

Do the ALL lights work correctly at the moment?

If yes then I will give you a list of changes in Forscan, once you confirm.

Backup the BCM asbuilt for changing any values!

Change these values, keeping in mind x's are left with the existing values.

726-27-02 xxx0-xxxx-xxxx
726-46-01 xxx0-xxxx-xxxx
726-46-02 x0xx-xxxx-xxxx
726-47-01 x0xx-xxx0-xxxx
726-48-01 x0xx-xxx0-xxxx
726-48-02 xxxx-xxxx-x0xx

Write the changes, clear all fault codes and rescan for faults. Advise on results.

If you still have faults, paste them here and PM me your VIN.

I forgot to mention that I changed the tail lights as well. Stock it was one fog light & one backing light. Now it's both backing lights.

Thanks, I'm getting to the rest of them but have just had no time this week.

Meanwhile are all lights operational on the vehicle?

Any update on this. ( 2018 build XLT Ranger )

I also get
Code: B1D00 - Left Low Beam

Additional Fault Symptom:
- Circuit Short To Battery Or Open

Status:
- Previously Set DTC - Not Present at Time of Request
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp is Off for this DTC
- Test not complete

Module: Body Control Module

Code: B1D02 - Left High Beam Circuit

Additional Fault Symptom:
- Circuit Short To Battery Or Open

Status:
- Previously Set DTC - Not Present at Time of Request
- Malfunction Indicator Lamp is Off for this DTC
- Test not complete

Module: Body Control Module

Also the code B12C2 - Puddle Lamp

I have an issue with the left low beam cutting out since upgrading to HID's, this can take anywhere between 10 minutes and 40 minutes.

I have tried to disable the "Bulb Out Front" but I now have an issue with forscan not working properly. Any changes I try to make I get an error
"Vehicle Configuration Incorrect - Service Procedure Interupted"

Low and High Beams
726-27-02 xxx0-xxxx-xxxx
726-46-01 xxx0-xxxx-xxxx
726-46-02 x0xx-xxxx-xxxx

I have already added the puddle lamp removal in the non-asbuilt BCM. "Puddle Lamp Circuit" Change the option and write.

If you cannot write it is because you are entering the wrong data or entering the data in the wrong area or module. What exactly are you entering?

Are these new lights using the DRL circuit, or is DRL just part of the new lights control box?

Try

726-61-02 xxx0-x0xx-xxxx

and let me know if the lights still operate correctly and what DTCs are left.

Hi Stewart,

I managed to fix the issues with Forscan, I read somewhere to make sure all accessories were off as any power drain can cause the error I was having. My radio and fan were on, and once disabled Forscan saved changes that I made without error.

I disabled the puddle lamps in the non as build data and also managed to disable the "Bulb Out Front" and cleared the DTC's. Will monitor and see what happens.

Not sure that this will fix the issue that I am having with the left low beam turning off after a period of time. Once I notice the low beam is off, it turns back on if I turn the headlight switch off and on. The amount of time before it cuts out varies.

I have swapped the ballast, no change, will try globe next but getting that globe out is a pain in the but as not much room on that side with the battery

What adaptor are you using? You may be best to install this test build, 3rd post from the bottom at the moment for the link.

The changes should resolve your issues. Did you install relays to run the HIDS? If not I would. I have had these ballasts blow and when they do you could end up sending 25,000 volts through your BCM which would not be a happy day and another reason I use LED over HID.

So if you have just done plug and play, relay it up asap.

Just used those codes mentioned above to sort my low beam faults. I have fitted px3 hids to my px2. I have used relays on the hips. Only problem I have now is day running light faults. Any help appreciated.

From memory putting PX3 into PX2 will use the parker light circuit unless you have moved the front parkers to the dedicated DRL circuit?
