Apple car play/Android auto program.

You think that with all the cars getting around these days with these systems that manufactures of the "better" obd dongles would be giving us a program to use on the in dash screens. This would be so much better than your phone or tablet stuck somewhere. Would also be a good selling point. Not sure what limitation are involved though. Your thoughts?

yeah it would be handy. i ended up just getting an UG mx 1.4 their is a way of getting that data from a obd2 dongle onto android auto but its a bit of a hack then an official way.

It is not a Sync issue or a developer issue.
Specifications for apps are set by Apple and Google, this is the issue. Basically like video, moving gauges would be a distraction and is another reason I have my own gauges in view without having to look across at the screen.
Unfortunatly it is what it is, there are pros and cons.
