Silicone boost pipes sweating oil

Hi all

Just a general poll:
Who has noticed their silicone boost pipes sweating oil through the main body of the pipe?

I replaced my factory intercooler recently with a better aftermarket one and noticed the cold side pipes were oily on the outside.
My cold side pipe comprises of: 90deg silicone pipe - steel section - straight silicone pipe at throttle body.
The 90deg pipe at the intercooler was especially oily.

And this isn't running down or sweating from the clamped ends, i'm referring to the main outer section between the clamps.
They are now 3 years old.

I first noticed something similar a couple years ago on my Provent piping - there is a small 22mm to 19mm silicone reducer that began sweating oil after awhile.
This piece even has the alleged oil resistant inner sleeve which is orange.
I told Western Filters and they offered to replace it so i assumed a defect in manufacture.

Seeing as my main boost pipes are sweating now as well it doesn't seem that unusual.
A google search reveals a couple of similiar results but not terribly common which is possibly due to people not really looking or noticing.

I hadn't noticed either until now and i'm looking in the engine bay fairly often but the location of that pipe makes it less noticeable.
Top pipe is only mildly oily and i only noticed that by rubbing it and comparing to the dry hot side pipes.
