Scaffy wrote: Thu Jan 20, 2022 7:15 pm Can somebody please run my tyres through the calculator, if it's still there? I used it last night and now it's not showing up on the first post for me. They're 285/55R20. I just need the number to put into non-asbuilt.

Also, will I need to do any relearns once I've done that, considering I've been driving around on them for about 500km now?
Try it again. Always relearn.
Got it a bit earlier. 2496 is the value it gave me. I got the dreaded spanner. Put back to standard, cleared codes and it was good. I tried lower values to the point where I only went 30 over stock and I kept getting errors.

If I do a TCM relearn, should that sort it out?

I changed original XLS tyres 255/70/R16 to 265/65/R17
Loaded a BPT mild tune 285/70/R17 checked asbuilt values PCM 70E-01-01 5AA0 (2320) BCM 726-12-01 091C (2332)
not what I was expecting. Tried a different tune the figures remained the same?
Are these the correct value for 265/65/R17 tyres PCM 938 BCM 5C30 should a PCM relearn be done.
I can change the tyres sizes with the MyCalibrator unit without generating codes, just need to sort out the odometer,
Any over suggestions thanks in advance.

Speak to Barry about what his tunes do or don't do. He has advised the end user should not change anything.

I have sent an email to Barry waiting for a reply
I have not done any changes to the tunes just asking for an indication of what the values for the 265/65/R17 should be for these tyres
Is the PCM where the odometer sources data?
If anyone is using a BPT tune and has an accurate odometer could you check what values are in
PCM 70E-01-01 BCM 726-12-01
Has anyone using the BPT trans max + CC monitored the lockup clutch current values using a scanguage what readings have you observed?
My readings varied between 370ma (42% lockup) light vehicle load to 610ma (72% lockup) at full load I was expecting a constant lockup current?

First post on this thread, tyre calc states BCM will be;

Required BCM value at 726-12-01 is xxxx-0936-xxxx
Forget about the PCM, it is not listed in the calc instructions anyway and will not change anything.

Change it to 0936 and install the tune, the figure is within the normal limits without DTCs and there should be no reason to change tyre size with the MyCal.

If all is 100% correct then at 100kph cluster you will show approx 96 GPS speed.

From what I have seen you will not see any changes in TCC lockup. At full load especially in 1st to 4 th you will be lucky to ever get full lockup so do not expect it.

My own current tune is a little different in this respect but I still allow some slip at full load in some gears and the second tune in sports mode will never see lock in some gears.

Thank you for fast response

Do you know what the purpose of the PCM circumference is?

A post on the forum detailed a standard Ranger with 265/65/R17" tyres has 5C30 2360mm my ranger shows 5AA0 2320mm?

Personally have not found it to influence anything on tht Ranger, I have no further info.

Feel free to change to 5C30, it won't hurt anything.

Hi Stewart,

I just fitted 285/70/17 to our 2021 Everest 2l. Calculator says to use 09DC which I have done and. Performed the relearn and cleared DTCs. Now it won't go past 7th gear and holds gears for massive amounts of time.
Have I somehow upset something along the way?

May also be related but both ceuise control types will not work as well.

How many ks do I need to put on the car for it to relearn everything roughly?

Cheers,

Jarrad

Seems odd.

Send me saved PCM, TCM, BCM asbuilts in a PM and will check them out.

Hi Stewart,

It appears that it was still learning. Today after my partner drove it to work and back the gearbox was back to its normal operation and cruise again works.
If you are interested in the files still I am happy to send them. However, I did last night put the car back to stock wheels and ASBILT which still wouldn't shift. That is now fixed.

Cheers

All good, I don't need them. Was only going to look to see if there was some corruption.

Glad it is now resolved.

Speedo only adjustment...

Stewart, I was looking at a YouTube video and buried in the instrument module was a section called police mode. Not positive what it does but I speculate that for police use the Speedo error would have to be adjusted to zero.

Have you seen this in any of the module adjustments?

Police mode has no bearing on the ODO whatsoever and is used more so in the US, all our vehicles basically have the mode anyway "Not being able to put the vehicle in drive whilst remote is not in range".

In the past it was more known as not enabling external lighting when vehicle was locked and unlocked but it is now know as silent mode.

Hey guys, I've got 285/65-17 tyres on my Ranger BiTurbo. Using the calculator I got the value of 0985 to input at 726-12-01. Interestingly I wanted to know what the value should be to write into the BCM if I had of opted for the 265/70-17 tyres on the same rims. Theoretically, the diameter and heights are exactly the same however when you use the calculator on this thread and input 265/70-17 it tells you to input a value of 0987. Why is there a difference in the calculated value in here when the diameter of the wheels is the same?

Because they are a different size tyres so expected.

Circumference 2520mm vs 2530
Revs/km 397 vs 395

The 285 is a marginally smaller tyre circumference.

Hi,
Im trying to update my tyre size as I've just put on 275/65R18. Being that mine is a 3.2 auto I'm trying to set it to 0977 (max) however when I try to write all I get "Service procedure has been interupted" at 1%. Any idea's?
Also, am I right in assuming that the change needs to be made to the As_built?
thanks
Kelvin

No reason for it.
Make sure ignition is on.
Unplug any other OBD device.
Check what you are entering is correct.

Without seeing an image of what you are entering there I cannot offer anything else.

Hi,
I used the tyre calculator for my 265/65 R18 sized tyres and got a result of 0984. I have the 10 speed bi turbo so I entered this value as the instructions suggested. It then says to do a TCM relearn which I cannot figure out how to do. I can't find anywhere as suggested "at the top of the screen near BCM, IPC module as built". Could somebody point me in the right direction on how to rectify this.
To make the situation worse I got excited and forgot to record the as built value so I can't re enter this value to restore to previous setting unless somebody knows this value.
I now have the dreaded spanner symbol on display on my dash.

Just use the calculator for the original tyre size and use that value.

I don't believe Forscan added every Ranger or Everest model with TCM relearn so you would need to contact them with your data for them to do so.

Use the calculator in the first post of this thread. Do not use Tapatalk, use browser, chrome or similar.
