Hi all,

I fitted an Iron Man bull bar on my 2017 Ranger and since then have had nothing but trouble with the front park sensors which I'm guessing is because they do not like the way they are mounted in the steel bar. They are super sensitive and just seem to go off randomly esp. when its wet. Iron Man are not much help and neither are Ford and after trying various "fixes" I really just want to turn them off permanently.
Ford tell me this can't be done, but I'm guessing someone will know how to do this?!

Thanks in advance.

Have a read through this thread and the asbuilt spreadsheet should get you sorted.

You should be able to change 736-01-01 from x8xx-xxxx-xx to x4xx-xxxx-xx to still have the rears work.

Thanks for that!
A bit new to this but have just ordered the OBDLink and will give it a go.
Those sensors are driving me mad!
Will post with the result.

Brilliant!!!
The adapter arrived form eBay today for $125 so dived in and followed your excellent guides.
Very easy to follow and your advice worked like a charm, so now no front park sensors, no seat belt dings and no door ajar bongs.
Happy days!
Can't thank you enough for your help. I'll have a dig around now and see what else I can learn.

The only other thing that really drives me mad on this vehicle is the shift pattern when towing. It seems to hold on to gears for ages before changing up. Change up manually and vehicle performs better and does not rev the nuts out of itself. Maybe I'll post in the Drivetrain forum.
