Battery save mode

When my ranger goes into battery save mode from having the radio on too long without the ignition on it does a weird thing. The intermittent wipers will come on even if the stalk is in the off position. Has anyone else seen this before?

Never had it. Is it every time?

Not every time that I've noticed. Seems to happen a long time after the radio shuts down. Maybe 1/2 hr later.
