So I have an OBDLink MX (red wifi version) and I'm running windows 11. I haven't used Forscan for a while and have changed computers since I used it last. Anyway, I have a quick job to do for a mate but I can't get Forscan to connect. It comes up with "No adapter found". I believe I need to download a driver for the dongle on this computer however it appears that this dongle is no longer supported. I downloaded what I thought was the correct driver but this still didn't help.

Any ideas on what I can do to get it to connect? The old computer is not an option.

No Drivers are needed. You will need to connect to the adaptor like you would any other wifi access point. Password is on the back.

From there make sure your Forscan settings are correct for wifi.

I can get my computer to make a wifi connection to the adaptor but when I go to connect to the vehicle within Forscan, it says no adaptor found. Are there settings within Forscan that I need to change?

A good start is to set "Connection type" to WiFi.
With my Bluetooth adapter I have Auto connect deselected as I prefer to initiate a connection.

You haven't said if the IP address is the one of your adapter - check that is correct.

If this doesn't work then searching the Forscan forum often results in helpful info from people who have had similar issues

This is probably a stupid question but how do I find the IP address?

The chance of it being different from the default in the adaptor and Forscan is close to zero.

If you still cannot connect with Forscan to the vehicle when set to wifi and then actually connected to the adaptor hotspot then it may well be a Windows 11 issue.

Have you tried to reset the unit?

Also check if there may be a firmware update for it.
