A month ago I was given an Asus laptop to try and being about ten times as powerful as mine I was very keen.
No matter what was tried it wouldn't connect to my OBDlink MX Bluetooth dongle.
I even took it to the Asus warranty shop in the city, they couldn't get it to connect either, it just spent ages trying to connect.
After all this I just had to stay with my current laptop, phone & tablet.
Problem after all of this is that nothing would connect, so I had to pair everything again.
Got all working again but I found that I had to pair every time I wanted to use any of them and it was very slow to connect.
It's obvious that the Asus did something to the OBDLink dongle.

If you ever have issues it may work correctly again if you do an OBDLink reset.
This is what I did.
Hold the Pairing button down for 15 seconds or until the Power light starts flashing.
Relase it when it starts flashing and when the light turns solid it is finished.
Now remove the OBDLink from power and leave it out for 30 seconds.
Plug it back in and Pair again, all should be fine now.
