SSM 48508, TSB 19-2350 10R80 Transmission - Loss Of Motive Power

SSM 48508 - 2019 Ranger And Everest Vehicles Equipped With A 2.0L (Panther) Engine And 10R80 Transmission - Loss Of Motive Power With DTC P0868 – TSB 19-2350 REINSTATED
Please be advised that TSB 19-2350, 10R80 Loss of Motive Power, has been reinstated. Engineering has been investigating isolated cases of repeat failure of thenew steel gears. Detailed investigation has attributed these rare repeat failures to either residual contamination from the initial gear failure or failure to carefully follow the gear replacement repair procedure detailed in the Workshop Manual (WSM). Dealers should ensure that correct repair procedures are followed including the use of all Special Service Tools (SST’s) where required and ensurethat all contamination has been removed from the transmission including any broken gear teeth. Please also ensure to reprogram the Transmission Control Module (TCM) and the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to the latest service calibration using the latest level of FDRS. Refer SSM: 48508.
