Sync3 Splash Screen Changes

Here's a way to change that boring Ford logo when your Sync3 screen starts up, to something a bit different. Unfortunately you cannot design your own screen, but there are a number of alternate screens already contained in the APIM module. Note that this only changes the start splash screen. I have not yet found a way to change the Ford logo screen that displays when shutting down.
APIM As-built
Standard Ford screen:
7D0-01-02 0xxx xxxx xxxx 7D0-02-01 xxxx x1xx xxxx
STL Performance:
7D0-01-02 8xxx xxxx xxxx 7D0-02-01 xxxx xBxx xxxx
Raptor:
7D0-01-02 0xxx xxxx xxxx 7D0-02-01 xxxx x5xx xxxx
Mustang:
7D0-01-02 0xxx xxxx xxxx 7D0-02-01 xxxx x6xx xxxx
GT Cobra:

There are others such as Lincoln Presidential, but not really applicable to Oz.
Don't forget to back up before you play.

Hi Gerry, have you tried these yourself? I found some codes on an F150 forum for this and when I tried them my climate screen disappeared. (It came back when I put the original codes back in).

Yes, I have tried them, but I will confess that I went back to the 'normal' splash screen, mainly because I don't want to give the dealer any excuses because I've been 'playing'. So I'm afraid I don't know if it affected the climate menu on mine or not... sorry.

Hi Dog, I just tried these again and my Climate screen was definitely still there mate... very strange.

Gerry the issue was having the climate control in dual zone mode. As most of us do know the climate menu only works properly for single zone climate and was never intended for dual zone hence why it was not enable from factory.

Changed the splash screen to Raptor screen on my Wildtrak some time ago all OK. As noted the shutdown screen remained as Ford logo. Took my ute in for 30000km service and they did map update on gps and hey presto the shutdown screen is now Raptor also!!

That's interesting. As built probably has nothing to do with it but then again do you mind flicking your saved APIM asbuilt through as a PM?

The xxx means you leave them at whatever values are already there... don't change them, only change the characters shown.

Hey,
can somebody explain what the additional value (the red 5 in the example below)will cause, is that for the logo screen when it is shutting down?

The info I found on a german forum last night for changing the graphics of the Sync 3.
7D0-02-01 xxxx xYxx xx Y from 1 to D (changes the splash screen to GT)
7D0-03-01 xxxx xYxx xx Y from 0 to 4 (changes theme and logo screen when shutting down GT)
So far I haven't started to play with it, I am still collecting info what to do exactly.

Currently latest Sync3 build has
7D0-01-02 Xxxx xxxx xxxx 2 vaiants, Ford, Lincoln
7D0-02-01 xxxx-xXxx-xxxx 23 variants of startup screens, although some are reused
7D0-02-01 xxxx xxxX xxxx 11 variants of vehicle types, eg. 5 would change the vehicle image on the reverse screen to a LARGE VAN so unless you want a van there then I would leave it alone.
7D0-03-01 xxxx xXxx xx 9 variants of visual designs including 2 for the new 10" screen
The shut down logo may or may not change to the correct vehicle depending on the version of Sync3 software installed. Unfortunately nothing is perfect.
Quantities and types of variations will depend on what version of Sync3 software is installed.

No, the xxxx means leave what ever is there as is.
You only need to change the numbers that are stated.

Forscan team has more pressing issues that adding every option I give them at the moment. There are still a bunch of other items that have not been implemented from 3 months ago either. I do not see them being added in the short term.

Yes nothing has changed, just more added, as per my post 4 posts up with how many options are available in each location.

Not sure if this is the right thread for this but here we go - I installed 3.4 (19200) on my US '16 Focus RS and want to use the black Lincoln theme but keep my RS startup and shutdown logos. Currently The RS startup logo stays, but when shutting down I see a Lincoln logo. Is it possible to keep the RS logo at shutdown as well? Thanks!

Try changing visual design variants to Ford Timeless.
This also applies to others that still get the Ford logo when shutting down. Changing to Timeless from Classic will resolve this.

Does that also apply to the "Lincoln Timeless" visual design variant? As that's the theme I wanted to use but keep the RS bootup/shutdown logos. If I switch to the visual design variants to "Lincoln Timeless" and change the "Brand" to "Lincoln" I get the RS bootup, Lincoln theme, and Lincoln shutdown.

I do not use the Lincoln variants so try changin the visual design to another. Been a while since I have looked at the code but I have a feeling that licoln shutdown was only linked to lincoln.
