16in Rims on XL?

Good Day everyone.
I have a few questions regarding a 2023 XL 4x4 single cab:
1. Can I fit 16in rims (instead of the 17in)?
2. I have heard, a 33in Tyre fits just-just, without any modifications. Is this true?
3. What mods are needed to fit a 35in Tyre? I think only the Front suspension needs to be modified. Will a cheap strut lift help? (The Front suspension is independent)
