SSM 46487 - 2015-2017 Ranger Vehicles - DTE Displays 1999kms Following An IPC Software Update

Certain 2015-2017 Ranger vehicles which have had an update to the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) previously, may exhibit a condition where the Distance To Empty (DTE) reading displays 1999kms. Should a vehicle present with the above condition, technicians are advised to reprogram the IPC to the latest service calibration using Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) release 104.04 or higher. Make sureyou are connected to the internet when entering module programming to obtain the latest updates. Calibration files may also be obtained from the Professional Technicians Society website – Select Rotunda - Diagnostic Tool Support - IDS Support - Module Reprogramming. Please use service labour operation number 12651D from section 10 of the SLTS manual and refer to this SSM when completing a claim. SSM: 46487
