Yes found it on the F150 site, and I have used the similar settings for the standard indicators on my Everest as I use non-CANBUS compatible LED's and they don't hyperflash now, i.e. I disabled the outage detection.

I suspect that the same would be for the trailers as well, but would only be an issue if cheap LED's that don't have a high enough resistance were used, that would trigger the outage detection.

I've been wanting to test to get a definite answer from some of the guys that are having issues with their caravans with hyperflashing, but no one is close by for me to do a test.

No, XL does not have a temp sensor.

XLS and up have temp sensors.
2017 XL has a temp sensor, I now have temperature displayed in dash cluster (not on sync screen)

Hi Stewart,

I managed to update everything I hadn't already dome over the weekend and a massive thank one again!!!! I have one possible snag I wanted to check though as I have feeling I have done soothing wrong.

Its to do with with DRL's. I have set the up so my fog lights act as DRL's and it works fine, but... in my dash menu I can see an option to select DRL's on/off (a checkbox) but its actually greyed out and I cannot select it or deselect it? What have I done?

So I changed following to get the DRL's running.

- Changed IPC to xx6x xxxx xxx Enable DRL Menu, Enable Lane Assist, and Disable Chimes
- Changed BCM to xxx 7Fxx xx Allow all DRL choices at 726-50-01
- Changed 7260-50-01 to 04xx DRL fron fog lamps

You have missed lines 726-16-02 and 726-21-01.

Changing those will get you menu working.

Hi saeb. I have seen a comment on a facebook page about being able to adjust the 12v sockets in the ranger so that they turn off when ranger is turned off. It was mentioned that it could be done using forscan. Have you come across this at all?

Done.

Change BCM line 726-39-01

from 1194-xxxx-xxxx

to 0001-xxxx-xxxx

This will time out the 12 volt and 240 volt after 1 second.

Hi Stewart
I'm new to PID coding. How do you identify all these parameters?
Any idea what the factory engineering software platform would look like? Visual logic?
Have done TPMS disable, Auto S/S disable, Climate Menu. Much relief. Thanks for your work!
Cheers
Peter

PIDs have no relevance to asbuilt data. PIDs I monitor the vehicle with factory tools plugged in and also scan the Canbus for additional unknown PIDs. A lot of the asbuilt I have spent time changing bit by bit to accomplish and others I have found online and tested on the Ranger. Some modules are shared with other Ford models and some are not. Everything always needs to be fully tested whichever way. Our IPC is different to every other so it was just time even though the odd option may match another model.

I'm sure the end engineer has a nice GUI to sort out what gets enable or disabled, then there will be the software engineers TPE gore them that write that software to work with the hardware.

Hi Andrew,

I have only just signed up to this a couple of night ago and have read most stuff as well as your forum on Newranger.com I have read from page 1 up to 22 and am keen to start doing a few of these mods. The little instrument cluster ones are a must but I have a 2017 Wildtrak and do not get any annoying car open noises while key is in it is when I pull it out and leave the door open it won't shut up haha I wouldn't mind turning that one off. I would like to see if it is possible to do a turbo timer within its own software that would be very handy. I have been following all your amazing work on newranger.com and really keen and excited to know about the remote start and windows as well as the incline angle and roll guage. You did spark an interest in this whole Everest headlight with inbuilt DRL I would like to try find a second hand pair and install them and then maybe just pull the HIDs out and put the LED globes I am already using in those and just have the auto headlights disabled unless I can also find the module and all and plumb it in. I am an Instrumentation Electrican so have a bit of knowledge and fairly handsy. Anything you can help me with would be muchly appreciated. I will be defiently donating to your funds your knowledge and information across both sites are priceless. I wouldn't also mind grabbing some of those leads you made up either.

Kind Regards

Shane Trigwell :D

Hi Stewart,

Just wanted to let you know that on my Ranger the disable shift light change 720-03-01 x2xx xxxx xxxx is actually the complete opposite of what I needed to do, I needed to swtich to x0xx xxxx xxxx to disable it in my vehicle.
For your records. :)

Thanks Astro. Yes the IPC in the SA built models tend to differ a little with certain settings. Good to see you nutted it out. I will add it to the list.

Hi Stewart,
Have you found anything about the double lock feature? It is in the handbook but apparently not available in Australia.
I had by BT-50 broken into 3 times in my driveway and was very happy to see the Ranger had deadlocking but it does not work.... my alarm went off tonight which has reminded me of my problem.

I think you will find the buttons time out after about 2 minutes and then do not operate. Unsure if the handle still works but will give i a go later with internal alarm turned off and let you know the outcome.

Your new vehicles asbuilt is 726-39-01 0001-xxxx-xxxx which is 1 second.

Once you have your adaptor you will be able to change it 0708 or 1194. The BMS will shut it all down before that time occurs anyway.

Would there be any chance we could extend the time out on the puddle lamp button?

I haven't got to this project yet, too many on the go now, but am going to add some micro led light bars on the rear and hook them up to the puddle lamp switch in the cab.
