Extra being added in next release 2.3.15

The next version should be 2.3.15 unless we miss the boat.

A few more items to disable bulb out warnings. These need to be tested in full before hand.
Auto Start Stop - Added
Dual Battery Mode with options - Added
Fog Lights - Remember last position (on or off) after ignition cycle - Added
Daytime running lights include parklamps - Added
TPMS - Placard values. Basically you will not get a TPMS warning until the pressure reaches this value

There is an immense amount of other things that need to be added/sorted removed etc. but I can only get so much done at a time.

I will generally only add features of value. I often look though all the module data and there is so much that is irrelevant to the average user so I have no plan to add them. If there is something specific you want then speak up and I will tell you where it is at.

PCM changes may or may not be added at some point but I will be specifying non as-built changes only. I can see that to many issues will arise with asbuilt PCM options.

Thanks for the continued effort Stewart.

Are the settings in the screenshot what you are personally using - ie dual battery mode 16v?

Does the '1' in power point timeout mean it will remain constantly on, or timeout after 1 minute? Also, which 12v outlets does this value apply to?

Cheers

Hi Kevin,

Currently yes. Although I was playing and need to revert a few items.

I was using dual battery mode for my trip a few weeks ago, I wanted my AGM in the back to have the best possible charge as I was stopping for 4 days at a time, the fridge was still running fine on the 4th day. I may or may not revert it back as I'm still monitoring SOC, I found a different setting in the 2015, 2016 BCMs that tells the BMS to stop charging at 95% and I want to confirm it is correct. I do not see the same option on a 2017 BCM.

Bulb out is in testing.

Power Point timeout, yes I have changed to 1 sec. Our early models were 90 minutes from memory. Don't hold me too it but I'm pretty sure it applies to all of them. Test for yourself and let us know the outcome. Just remember there is a least 60 seconds of activity before this timer would take affect from what I have seen. Late 2016 to 2018 are 1 sec by default but I'm sure the time out is still 90 minutes. Someone else may be able to confirm this?

Auto stop start needs to be amended. It is reverse of what it should be.

I am currently on the far west coast of South Australia and with dual battery mode enabled it has kept the 120ah Agm caravan battery fully charged, without a dc2dc charger
I am running a 110lt Dometic fridge and 50 lt portable freezer, lights etc.

Hi stewart,

What is the function of transport mode?

Also will bulb out warnings mean we can run cheaper non canbus ready bulbs?

Transport mode is enabled when the vehicle leaves the factory. It will put most modules in sleep mode as such and I'm pretty sure the odometer doesn't increase.

You can run any cheaper globes you desire anyway. The BCM is measuring the resistance of the globes so if they are the same wattage then there is nothing to change, standard globes do not have any type of extra resistor/canbus module. If you change to LED then you may need to disable.

Try what you want and see if you get a fault. Not every circuit is monitored so try and see. If you have issues and want to try some different options then flick me a PM.

I see these two new additions in IPC (Auto engine idle shutdown..) and BdyCM (Auto stop start..).
My understanding, When your car comes to a complete stop, the engine turns off automatically.
As soon as you take your foot off the brake the engine restarts right?

I have LED globes for Reversing & Brake/Tail lights & I don't get any errors.

In a MY15-MY18 manual yes. Automatic no, transmission does not support it. MY19 10 speed should support it.

Yes, MY19 2.0 Bi-Turbo can support by factory default.

Which LED bulbs did you go for, regarding tail/brake in the end?

I’ve tried a few and they have no appreciable difference between tail or brake, which is obviously dangerous! The ones I’ve tried are for a MT18 Wildtrak with caplets 580 (w21/5w) bulbs.

Cheers

What is wrong with the stock globes?

Mine are about to hit 3 years old and are still functioning just fine. Spend the cash on a beer unless I'm missing something.

Nothing wrong with them Stewart, but the LED globes I have for Reversing are 3 times as bright as the stock globes, nice and white.

You will understand when you age a little.... :D

I use these for reverse.....https://m.ebay.com.au/itm/2PCS-7440-W21 ... r=1&_rdt=1

Stop/Park like you say are not much better than the stock globes, but I don't know which I have.

Ross, I was referring to Shanegt comment on the tail/brake and not the reverse lights.

Hi Stewart,

I enabled the Auto Stop/Start and the Auto Idle Shut down on my 2017 PX2 2.2 XLS manual.
The menu item with checkbox appeared on the instrument panel.

I ran DTC check and get a DTC B11D8-0A, some kind of communications error regarding battery monitoring system.
Several DTC reset attempts later and code keeps returning.
Had to revert to disabled for both options to get DTC cleared.

Am I missing something? Is here another module required for this function to work?
Thanks.

You won't enable it. You are missing specific modules, the right BCM, PCM changes etc. XLS runs a different BCM and I don't believe it would support BMS hence the DTC.

This function was put in to allow those that want to remove it to do so.

Just reverse your change and no harm done.

Thanks it may have changed and without having one at hand I cannot test. Do the front and rear 12v sockets continue to operate?

Yes, the front, middle and rear 12v sockets stay on for 60+ seconds after leaving the car and locking doors.

The USB ports on the Sync3 turn off when Sync3 turns off, which is understandable. Is there a way of keeping Sync3 turned on for a few minutes after the vehicle is turned off?

Just push the radio on button when ignition is off and it should come to life, but no there is not a 2 minute option.

There is a 10 minute option that may or may not work on that version of Sync.
