Hi all,

Looking for some advice.

I have a 2012 2.2 XLS PX1 in South Africa, It was quite a base model without any of the nice creature comforts.

My next project that I'm attempting is adding Hill Assist, Hill Decent Control and Traction Control, as these work together from my understanding.

I have the wiring for both TC and HDC buttons, so bought them and installed them. I enabled HDC on Forscan and... Nothing.

I checked the wiring diagram and see the TC and HDC works with the ABS Module. My Integrated vechicle dynamic control is set to ABS Only. After taking the risk and changing the option through all of the available ones, the only one that the ABS Module took is IVD Something, can't exactly remember and didn't take a screen shot. Its something like IVD (enhanced ESP and CC). After setting that one and relearning the ABS module I TC and HDC lights are on the cluster, but the ABS light stays on with Error U2300:64-AB : Signal Plausibility Fault.

I checked the wiring harness on the ABS pump and I seem to have all the pins, even these from the HDC and TC buttons.

So I'm thinking there might be one of two problems here. Or I don't have a Steering Angle Sensor in my clock spring ( the harness has the wires but not sure how to confirm I have one) or the ABS Module only supports ABS as its set and I'll need to get a XLT one.

Thanks for reading! :)

Are you sure the ABS firmware is the same in HA and non HA vehicles?

Thanks for the reply Stew, Your question made my mind up to go search for a ABS pump and did so this morning.

I got one off a 2014 4x4 Auto 3.2 xlt.

Didn't have enough time to installed it but did have enough time to plug it in next to the current pump, had a whole bunch of DTCs, cleared them, changed the configs in the BCM as I mentioned in the first post and BOOM! ABS light off :D

Got one DTC that it couldn't speak with the steering angle sensor and because of that the TC light stayed on. Next is to get a steering angle sensor from the breakers and install the ABS pump. Looking positive sofar

Not sure where SWS is in a PX1, PX2 it is in the steering so take that into acount. I still would have expected it to have one either way as it is used for ESC.

Its located in the clock spring housing thingy, what ever you call that. Same with the other stuff, I have the wiring in the harness but no where to plug it in. Off to the breakers again :D

My px1 didn't even come with ESC

Update!

Bought a steering angle sensor, built it in, plugged the XLT's pump in, enabled the settings again and voila! ESC, Trailer TSC, HA, HDC and TC all enabled and no errors.

Removed my old pump after the test to swap it with the new one but the input lines from the master cylinder on the new pump is bigger. So need to sort the hoses out then I can test the HDC and HA.

As for the TC, when I switch on diff lock, TC turns off, same when select 4L, TC also turns off, so seems all is working like it should electronic wise.
