Hi All,
Ive picked up my XLT just beofre Christmas and have been slowly starting to mod it. Ive been trying to channg my door locking sequence, so-as it locks automatically upon driving off and also wanting to switch off SMART charging. I called my local Dealer and was informed by the service advisor that neither action can be done by Ford.
Is this true, or am i being fed a load of crap?
cheers
Geoff

I doubt Ford can do the locking changes, but they can certainly do the smart charge. Mind you, Ford now call it 'turning on dual battery mode', so a change in terminology might be confusing them (from what I hear it doesn't take much to confuse some of them... LOL)
I've also heard that some dealers (under instruction from Ford?) will not enable dual battery mode if you don't have a second, auxiliary battery fitted.

Pretty much as above. You would be best to just make the changes yourself with Forscan.
