Has anyone figured out how to keep the keyboard activated whilst moving and using Apple CarPlay?

Strangely the keyboard works in sync 3 whilst moving but not in CarPlay.

The vehicle in question is a 20.25 raptor. Latest updates on both Apple IOS and sync3

Limitation will be the iPhone and not the Sync 3. Sync 3 is only displaying what is being sent to it from the iPhone.

I’m not so sure about that. When connected to my hilux ( a pioneer) head unit, the keyboard remains unlocked. Same CarPlay version is being used across both.

If you were local then I could disable the lockout on the sync 3 nav, it may or may affect CarPlay. I do not have a Apple device so it's an unknown.

Thanks Stewart.

I'm over in Doreen/Northern Suburbs. But my only worry would be changing it back before it goes into Ford for service/warranty/etc.

I tried the "5753" code and my Navigation crapped itself and I quickly changed it back.

It's a non warranty issue and would not be detected. No service tech would ever check that they can drive while typing.

Only downside is any system update is going to overwrite the change.
