Ford thinks I have v3.0 already!

G'day folks - long time lurker, first time poster.
OK, so I've got a 2017 XLT, so it has Sync3, and the current version is v2.2.
I've been waiting for days and days now, for Ford to send me the update link. I've requested it multiple times from the Owner's portal (car has been in there since bought new in September 2017), and just realised that Ford already thinks I have v3.0 (see screenshot below)!
I'm guessing one of three things has happened:
- Ford's systems are screwed (most likely)
- Ford thinks they update my system when they haven't (less likely - only been there for the recalls, not servicing)
- Someone guessed or found my VIN to get the update file themselves (least likely - bought car new, so VIN never advertised anywhere)
Does anyone have any suggestions as to any other way I can get hold of the v3.0 update zipfile, please?

I did mine once, went to the Ford owners website and filled in the details.
Once that was done I had the option to download the update file with easy to follow instructions.
From memory it was about 600mb.
Unzip to a flash drive and install, make sure you put the files on the flash drive correctly.
When you plug the drive into the car just wait a while, it can take some time to start.

But that's my problem. I'm on v2.2. The Ford Owner's site says I'm on v3.0, so they're not sending me any download link for an update. I'm asking to see if there's another way I can get the v3.0 update file.

So, bullet planted firmly between teeth, I followed *that* guide from another place, that uses the leaked Ford factory tool, and am now happily sitting at 3.4 with latest maps.
Cheers to millator, who PM'd me and said he'd followed the same guide without any issues. That gave me the last ounce of confidence to jump in.

II wonder how it will update now as Ford may not do it.

Guess I'll just have to wait for the Russians to upload the firmware and map files.

You are thanking the wrong country, the info may be posted there and a couple of others but generally none of the update file info comes from there. Misdirection............
