Forscan useability.

Hi Stewart. I've only recently been able to try the Forscan program, and I am having trouble finding what I want, or I'm doing it wrong.
I followed one of your messages, on playing around in it, you mentioned about changing the duel battery & seat belt reminders, but how can you find where that is?. the only thing that makes sense to me is how to change the fuel tank capacity to 140l, and I could only do that by following your instructions, if I had to do it myself how could I ever find it, or anything else? Everything is in numbers or hex.dec. is there something else that takes me where I need to go? I'm not knocking the program at all, it may come in handy some time, but apart from finding the modules, how can I find the component that I wish to use, IE. where is the duel battery setting, and how can I find it myself.
I'm not new to auto diagnostics, but I'm used to windows based systems like the Chrysler Starscan.
As I said earlier, IS Forscan for re-programming the vehicle factory settings or like a traditional scan tool?
Please do not take it as a criticism, as it is not intended to be, but I'm not sure what it can do for me, it seems too complicated to use. Or it's just ME.
anyway Thanks for your dedication to helping everyone. very much appreciated.

Are you running Forscan with the free Extended Licence?

This will give you a start.

Try opening the item that do not have as-built written next to them. BCM and IPC are your main ones.
